Amelia Island Wedding | Katie & Russ
Katie & Russ’s Amelia Island Wedding is the prime example of the most thought out wedding day plans being turned upside down by weather and changed at the last minute. Luckily for them, they were totally laid back and willing to embrace the changes but they also had a great planner/event designer who was able to make their Dubai inspired wedding just as beautiful, even with the Plan B. This was one of those days that having Emily Burton was one of the best decisions they could have made with respect to their wedding. Because of the high percentage of rain, plans were made to move everything to the alternate locations, which was still just as beautiful and a seamless transition. This is why I love a good planner so much! Katie & Russ were just as happy and they enjoyed their day completely, which is how it should be. Fortunately, the rain didn’t act as originally planned so we were still able to shoot most of their images outside with some really beautiful skies.
The ceremony was still held outside by the pool deck at Summer Beach and the reception was moved to The Golf Club of Amelia Island. Their day ended at the reception with lots of people on the dance floor and a sparkler exit.
Working with Katie & Russ was so much fun. They welcomed me with open arms and completely trusted me to document their day without any restrictions and I love that about them.
